European stock markets and the euro fell today, mainly because of the financial and political situation in Greece and Spain. Shares of energy companies lost about 1%, mainly because of falling oil per day. The euro fell to 1.0885 against the dollar from 1.0977 at the close yesterday. Greek Prime Tsipras met opposition from his party on economic reforms that Greece must agree to receive rescue aid. In Spain, left and center-right party Podemos Ciudadanos won regional elections over the weekend.
